About Us

PolyWard is a small manufacturing business based in Stockport, UK. Every product in the range, from rally style mudflaps, pre-cut sunstrips, campervan decals, HGV graphics and muflaps, to side stripe kits, is designed and produced in our own unit by a team of three people, including me.

My name is Daniel Holloway. I started PolyWard in 2019 because I wanted to build a business around something I genuinely care about. I’ve been working on cars my whole adult life. Fitting parts, modifying, maintaining, and occasionally breaking things and fixing them again. Cars and motorsport have been a constant since childhood. After years of working in IT and ecommerce, building something in the automotive space wasn’t just a career pivot; it was the logical conclusion of where my interests had always been pointing.

Where it started

PolyWard began in 2019 with plain PVC mudflap panels, the kind used for rallying and off-road applications. These were originally just sold through eBay with very little variety. Once those proved popular and reliable, the business reinvested. Rally style mudflaps for specific road cars came next, then HGV mudflaps, sunstrips, decals, brackets, and clips. Each expansion came with reinvestment into machinery, tooling, CAD systems, and materials. The range is built around what enthusiasts actually want, added at the pace that allows us to do it properly rather than quickly.

The products come from real vehicles

Every PolyWard mudflap kit starts with access to the actual car. Before any design work begins, the process starts with the unglamorous cardboard step. Making physical mockups of the mudflap shape, testing mounting positions against the real arch liner, and working out where the fixing holes need to be. That gets refined in CAD, printed on our A3+ printer, checked against the car again, and refined further until the fit is right.

Once the design is perfect from the CAD printouts, the cutting die is made. A plywood and steel rule tool specific to each mudflap shape, and the final production parts are cut from a 4mm PVC sheet on our hydraulic swing arm press.

I owned and personally modified the vehicles that the first PolyWard kits were made for. The Fiesta ST180 in Frozen White and the Seat Ibiza FR in grey that appear throughout the product photography on this site are my cars, fitted with my products, photographed by me. Every fitment note, every lowered car consideration, every arch liner quirk mentioned in the guides on this site comes from working on those specific cars directly.

I currently work on a Honda S2000, occasionally taken on track, which keeps my need for hands-on work and connection to cars going.

What we make and how

The full PolyWard range is designed and produced in our Stockport unit:

Rally style mudflaps – precision-cut 4mm PVC, shaped for specific vehicle arch profiles using our hydraulic press and vehicle-specific cutting dies. Vehicle-specific brackets are either produced by us or outsourced to specialist metal fabricators for the custom CNC and laser-cut components that we don’t yet have the machinery to produce in-house.

Pre-cut sunstrips – cut to the exact windscreen dimensions of each vehicle in the range. Width, roofline contour, and A-pillar angle are all specific to the car. No trimming required after fitting in most cases. We use a very accurate and reliable vinyl plotter for this.

Campervan and motorhome decals – designed and produced in-house from premium outdoor-rated vinyl. Over 100 designs available in up to 13 colours. We usually use the same plotter as the sunstrips, for accuracy, but have a slower one for busy periods, so that we can always dispatch the same day if ordered before 3 pm.

HGV and lorry graphics – including the King of the Road range, designed for show truck owners and owner-operators.

Van side stripe kits – full-length vinyl graphics for campervans and motorhomes, available in universal and vehicle-specific options. Due to the length and accuracy needed, we only use our best plotter for these.

We have all the core production machinery in-house. A small amount of production, specifically the custom metal bracket work for some mudflap kits, is outsourced to specialist fabricators. Everything else is done by our team in Stockport.

PolyWard products are also available on Amazon with Prime shipping available for next-day delivery.

Why the details matter

The reason PolyWard products fit properly is that they were designed on real cars, not estimated from measurements found online. The reason the fitment guides on this site are accurate is that the person writing them has fitted these products to the actual vehicles.

Most online retailers selling mudflaps or sunstrips are sourcing from manufacturers they’ve never visited, for cars they’ve never worked on, with fitting guides written by people who have never held a mudflap. That’s not a criticism, it’s just a different business model.

PolyWard’s model is: make it ourselves, fit it to real cars, write about it honestly, sell it directly. The products cost more than generic alternatives because they’re different products. The guides are more detailed because they come from direct experience. The fitment is correct because the templates were made against the actual cars.

Get in touch

Every order is handled directly by the team that makes the products. If you have a fitment question, a query about whether a product suits your specific car, or anything else, you’re talking to the people who designed and built it.
